Hello Fellow MTF members; Although I am new to posting in this forum or site for that matter, I have always been somewhat of a lurker in that I have often read with enjoyment, the many articles I have come across. A licenced mechanic by trade (although in enforcement for the past 24 years) like many of you, I have a fondness for anything with an engine and recently have fallen prey to the addiction of purchasing garden tractors. At the moment, I have several tractors; all of which are in need of complete restoration and what better place to document the history of such restorations. As I move through the teardown and step by step assembly of the frame, body and engine, I hope to not only contribute to your stellar site but as well, provide some helpful information along the way. Having said that, thank you in advance for allowing me an opportunity to log this entire restoration. Please be patient with me as the pictures will be many as I want a very detailed restoration to take place so I hope you do not mind many pictures. Also note that the tractor being restored is not the nicer looking one as I prefer to use this one for parts. I much rather use the older one as there have been no poor modifications done to it other than someone switching a newer motor in place of the 16hp Kohler that was original and cutting the driveline to facilitate the engine swap.
