My understanding is the 4x20's are newer than the 3x's and they may have come on SP1s but I doubt as early as the 70s. I have one that came with a 2nd-hand ColtGuard SP1, which is circa '82, but I can't guarantee it came with this rifle from the factory. Quality of the scope is decent, but not outstanding. Glass has a very slight yellow tint––an observation I've heard from other owners, too. It's not enough to significantly distract me, though. The integral mount works pretty well––locks up fairly tight. The reticle is basic duplex crosshairs.

Rds 6000 6 Cd Manual download. Nothing fancy, but functional. The elastic straps have a tendency to stretch out and wear, though. In all, it's a decent scope for an AR with handle.
